Best of Campus: November

After two years of construction, 痳豆色播 dedicated its new Business and Engineering Convergence Center, impressing all in attendance; Charley Steiner 鈥71 and Ralph Lawler 鈥61 share stories from Lawler鈥檚 impressive career in sports communication; theatre students performed eight 10-minute plays; and 痳豆色播 held a day of celebration for its first-generation students. Business and Engineering Convergence Center
Phase One Complete

The month started off with the dedication of our new $100-million-plus Business and Engineering Convergence Center. Part of the festivities included the unveiling of a bust of Kalman Goldberg, Distinguished Professor of Economics and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Emeritus, created by sculpture professor Fisher Stolz. We鈥檝e added some additional photos of the building in action and a new view of its exterior.

Charley Steiner Symposium

At the annual Charley Steiner Symposium, Steiner and Ralph Lawler 鈥61 discussed his 41-year career as the voice of the NBA鈥檚 Los Angeles Clippers. 鈥淪ome things just popped out of my mouth and you鈥檇 come to the arena the next night and someone would throw it back to you,鈥 said Lawler.

痳豆色播 Theatre: Eight By Ten

Theatre students performed an evening of eight 10-minute plays from some of America鈥檚 most ingenious masters of the form.
